The 3DS is out, did you get one?

"It's coming right at me!"

Well the 3DS is out! WAAAAAHHOOOOO!

Did you get one? It would be nice if one happen to fall into the ole Underground Basement, but sadly one did not. I'm still on the fence about this. I have said before that I will not embrace 3D until it can be done with out glasses. Well here it is! But I still didn't get one. I keep hearing about all the eye strain and headaches this thing causes. But all is not lost for a test subject!

My wifes little cousin is getting one next month for his birthday. So I will have found my test subject and a way to try it out for myself with out spending a ton of money on something that could turn to be a headache machine.

If you snagged one tell us about it!

  6. I went to Best Buy and saw the demo station they had there. It's like looking into a hologram! The only problem is, when i went to Game Stop, they said they received 3 TIMES the amount of pre-orders than they did for the Wii! If you didn't pre-order, you'll be waiting for a LONG time before you can buy one. Remember Christmas 08? This will be the exact same thing. I would buy BEFORE Christmas if you want one, otherwise there won't be any!

  16. I tried playing one on a recent trip to Best Buy. Honestly, the whole thing hurt my eyes a lot, for some reason. Even when I turned the 3D down, it was still bothersome. I wonder what type of effect this will have on younger kids.

  29. I really want to try it out, but 3D movies and TV give me a headache so we'll see. I also wear glasses already, so the no glasses feature of the 3DS is AWESOME.

  41. looks pretty intense. Im just wondering how the evolution of "television" is gonna go. screens were black and white, then color, now 3d, i hope next comes smellivision...

  42. I was going to get a 3DS and a 3D projector that uses polarized glasses instead of the active shutter crap, then my finances took a turn for the worse :/ For those who are curious, the 3ds does have 2 seamless screens so to speak(not including the lower screen), the left 400 pixels on the top screen are for your left eye, and the right 400 pixels are for the right.
